I hope you've been enjoying all of the videos and new content on our Patreon so far, and I have yet another lyric breakdown to share with you today! This has been a really fun experience for me so far, I love getting to dive deeper into the song/lyric writing process in such a personal way. These songs and characters mean so much to me, and it feels great to talk more about how I wrote these tunes with the guys. Hope you enjoy this lyric breakdown for the gut-punching opening track "The Drought."

2023-11-03 19:41:35 +0000 UTCI think this does a good job at setting up the whole album. Its the inciting event for this whole story. how everything is dying without the rain from the holy mountain. I makes me think about the places on earth that haven't seen rain in centuries, usually because it was under a mountains rain shadow.
