Hey do any of you guys remember the title of the video where COJ was talking about this show in particular: it was about a main character named Zach (i think) who could control time by saying "timeout" or some shit like that. Yea thanks for the heads up. That's a good way to put it. It's fine if it's for the right reasons, brothers shouldn't really do it if it's for personal gain as you said, take weight loss for example. Moses, Elijah, and Christ all partook in 40 days fasts, which would mean they fasted on the sabbath during it as well.

@Yasuke I thought about you this past Sabbath when reading Judith in the Apocrypha. She fasted after her husband died to mourn him except for on the high holy feast days and the Sabbaths. I then began to look further into it and technically we're only supposed to fast on the Day of Atonement according to law however, it isn't bad to fast on days other than that as Israelites have always done it throughout the centuries. I think what it was conveying in Judith was not to fast on Sabbaths and other High Holy Days for your personal reasons. As a matter of fact, that's the only time fasting was condemned (Isaiah 58:3-7; Jeremiah 14:10-12; Zechariah 7 and 8). So to answer your question, you can fast on Sabbath if it's something done for Yahawa and Yehawashi like meditating on scripture for better understanding.
