Puppergeist - announcement trailer!

the other game i was making with serenity forge was finally revealed this morning~! (here's the steam page!)

i'll talk a little bit about it since i'm finally allowed... (my mind is fighting me tho because i don't want to stop thinking about timber game but umm i've been waiting a year to announce this lol)

OKAY SO!! THIS GAME!!! was something i came up with specifically as a pitch for a studio to make, an idea that other people would like but that i would still be able to have fun with. believe it or not i'm not actually a dog person... but i do love my cats very much so i've been using this game to write about PET LOVE. specifically... how it feels when you lose your pet and how much you wanna be with them etc etc.

that's what this game is about, claire travels to the doggie underworld to find her lost pup. and then she meets lunne, a demon gal who also loves dogs! she helps her... they become fwends... you can even ship them if you want... it's a story about friendship, but you know me... i can't deny the yuri undertones.

i really really liked their designs so i held on to the idea even though it's been a long time since 2019!!!!!!!!!! and the game has evolved a lot, i'm happy with where it ended up as a rhythm game and whatnot, we have some really good musicians on it as you can tell from the trailer. i did a song too... i'm mostly animating and writing tho, those are the more fun parts for me!!!

btw in case you were wondering... this game has the usual witches and demons and whatnot, but it has no connection to the lore of my other games. like the dogs are not animal folk, they are just normal dogs... i guess lunne would be ok lore-wise but... wait sorry i'm getting in the weeds, i just wanted to point this out

so yeah we're gonna be working on this game for the next while, and hopefully we'll be able to release a demo once it's closer to being finished! i'm looking forward to people getting to read the story, i definitely cried a lot while writing it.
