another piece of candy - vol2 cover progress + september strips
Added 2024-09-09 19:00:04 +0000 UTCHELLO....... i've spent most of the week working on my website....... i made a page for moxdonald's (it's a fun read if you missed it!), a new gallery for starry flowers, and a cute new layout for my guestbook. so... i am still behind on another piece of candy. oof!
i actually wanted to share the september strips last monday, but i didn't finish the second one until just now. the first one is already public..... BUT to make up for it i thought i'd share my progress on the cover so far, which is coming out really cute. i missed my deadline of trying to print it for the anniversary, so instead i'm just trying to finish it before the end of the year if i can. it's a little tricky since i'm going to be moving soon...
anyway yeah hope u enjoy, sorry apoc has been a bit neglected lately! (though i guess i've still been updating weekly so it's ok...)

thank you! this is the volume where periwinkle is introduced, so i wanted him front and center with pastille. otherwise i was mostly trying to use the secondary characters that appear in more of the vol 2 comics and avoid reusing the ones from the first cover, just to give everyone else a chance in the spotlight :) i think i'll do kamilla eleni and vinegar for volume 3!

Ah, Treat, wrestling with her feelings and how they might impact the people around her... always thinking of others and trying to be the best she can be. <3 I liked reading Moxdonalds! It's nice to see something go so far, even though it's meant to just be silly and casual. And I like how much the fans were joining in with the fun, sending in asks to add to the story, and making fanart and those goofy Moxie webpages. It all felt very happy and fun.
