Added 2024-02-26 21:33:00 +0000 UTCnew guy just dropped!!!!!! this is Jutenn, he is an ogre. his screenname is heart_in_knots so qmin will be calling him "knots" mostly (not sure if his real name will come up in the script since i haven't written it yet...)
he's also LARGE!!! look at him!!!!!!
shoot i'm realizing now he should actually be wearing a wedding ring... the lore is that ogres are closer to humans than other demons so they adopt some of their customs (like monogamous marriages). i think it's fun to explore the different societal expectations even between types of demons haha, i also wanted to write about an older character trying to rekindle their relationship with a longtime partner! so this is what came out ^^
most of the work i've been doing this week is actually with the "extras" gallery, which is a fully functional fake operating system... it's not ready to show off quite yet so i'll write about it in more detail next week :) hope you look forward to it!!!!

2024-02-26 23:52:03 +0000 UTComg haha no it's wordplay i will have to explain in the developer commentary since i don't think anyone will catch it. jute is a material ropes are made from, and jotunn is a type of ogre, so i combined them (one of his endings talks about ropes, thus the knots nickname too haha)

Gives the impression of someone who's been around for a while and is a little weary - someone who could be tough and dependable, or maybe heavy and lumbering, and who seems like he could have a gentle, thoughtful side. The username 'heart_in_knots' is pretty charming, too!
