i'm doing a demographic survey!
Added 2022-11-26 03:13:43 +0000 UTChello!! i've never done a formal survey before, so this is a little exciting. i wanted to gather a bunch of (anonymized) info on what kinds of people are playing my games/following my work.
there are 14 questions, split into 6 sections:
- age range
- gender/identity (completely optional)
- which game was your first, and which was your favorite
- language/translation stuff (you can request specific translations here)
- where you heard about my games, and if you share them anywhere
- comments and feedback

i'll be doing a writeup about the results in the form of a blog post on itch (which i'll post the link to here as well). it'll go up on 12/23, so i'm accepting responses until then! if you know anyone that would be interested in taking the survey, feel free to send it to them :)

i've been watching the stats evolve as responses come in, and so far the majority (70%) have said they're lgbt! but he/him is the most used of all the pronouns, which i didn't expect--though she/her isn't too far behind! i'm excited to take a closer look at the data... having a lot of fun with this heehee

I know one game dev I follow did a survey like this and found most of her players were cishet dudes, with only a handful of us queer gals :( I'm hoping the demographics prove gayer for your gaymes. I've been doing my part by getting my partners into your oeuvre.
