2022 plans (mid-year update)

it's time once again to regroup and check my progress on the goals i set out at the beginning of the year! ahh, back in the halcyon days of december 2021... i mentioned i was working on 3 games and a secret project.

one of those games came out! thank goodness!! much later than expected, but astra's garden was finished... phew....

as for the secret project, i had actually been invited to participate in a small bundle, so i was going to make a new game for that... but i dropped to prioritize my mental health instead. i still like the idea/characters though, so i'll pick it up again when i get the chance! (the main character of this one will be cassia from starry flowers!)

as for the rest, here's the current state of things:

LUCKY NUMBER MOXIE (treat series)

this is my main priority! and i'm happy to announce... the script for this game is COMPLETE!!!!! all that's left is to finish the art!! so i'm fairly certain i can do that before the end of the month, and put out an early release build for all patrons before the end of the month :)

in case you missed it: all of the treat games have been combined into one big project, with some additions to the old games (like new characters and cameos). you'll be able to play the whole series from start to finish when this comes out! (there's a chapter select at the beginning so you can skip to the new stuff. also, this isn't the last chapter...! there'll be one more and an epilogue after this.)

i'm currently aiming to release august 1 (SOON!!!!!!!) so fingers crossed it doesn't get delayed...!

SYRUP 2: CANDY ALCHEMY RPG

i don't think i've touched this at all since last time, but i'm probably going back to it after treat! currently aiming to release a new in-progress build here before the end of the year. there's SO MANY SPOILERS..... i can't wait for you guys to play.

STARRY FLOWERS: MIRROR CALL (comic)

i've been drawing a peristille comic because i can never get enough of them <3 i've posted the first 10 pages here, but little did u guys know... i've been secretly drawing an extended 18+ version......... unfortunately, because my patreon is all ages it's against the rules for me to share/distribute it from here :'( so whenever i finish the second half, you'll have to buy it on itch.io... i'm sorry i can't even give a discount!!!! i don't make nsfw content often enough to justify having an 18+ patreon, otherwise i'd try to work something out. 

i actually have no idea when i'll finish this and release it publicly (because it's full color it's taking a really long time to make haha) so i guess just stay tuned? the sfw half leaves off in a satisfying place, so if you don't buy the final version i promise you're not missing out on anything important.

HER TEARS WERE MY LIGHT (steam release!)

a lot of people have asked if more of my games will be added to steam, and the short answer is YES! i'll definitely be doing that. i think her tears were my light makes the most sense to do first, since it's a nice little standalone game. i won't be adding more to the story (because i'd have to get it all translated too, and i'd rather put my effort into other things) BUT i will be drawing a bunch of new art for a bonus feature you can unlock after clearing the story :)

this version of the game will be $3, but i'll be able to give free steam keys to everyone here!!!! i think i'm going to update the version on itch.io to match, and otherwise keep the mobile version free (because i do like my games to be accessible and not always behind a paywall if i can...) anyway, that's the plan!

so far this year has gone really well for me (despite, *waves arms* everything else, lmao), so i'm hoping i can carry out the rest of my goals without disruption...!
