[COMM] Corruption Arc - Chapter 3: Nico

This was a commission from a patron! I had a ton of fun working on it. Writing a female character who is unabashedly interested in fattening up guys who probably would've been thin their whole lives if they never crossed her path was perfect to sink my teeth into. There are 9 parts total, switching from Nico's perspective to Luke's, and I'll post them here every two weeks.

Enjoy!

For a couple weeks, Nico wondered if Luke might be too tough a nut for even her to crack. He was almost skittish, and not in a cute way, but more like he was genuinely afraid. Nico realized it probably wasn’t that he was afraid of her so much as he feared for his mortal soul, but she couldn’t help but feel a wolfish sense of pride whenever he jumped because he heard her voice behind him.

The men she usually pursued didn’t usually have such strongly-guarded principles, and were usually completely wrapped around her chubby finger within a month, begging for every ounce of her attention. There were a few of them who still volunteered at the center, waiting for her to notice them again even though she’d cast them aside years ago.

It had taken her some time to realize how helpful it was for the exes she’d fattened up to still be hanging around. It shifted the culture of the tutoring center, creating a little bubble where thinness was not only an exception, but an anomaly. There were snack tables littered around the center, all burgeoning with junk food and fresh baked goods. She hadn’t even needed to start doing that herself–they’d all become such gluttons that they couldn’t fathom having food out of reach, even just for a few hours of volunteering.

She realized all her exes, as well as the other tutors, would likely be the key to getting Luke to let his guard down long enough for her to take advantage. She spoke with each of them in turn, asking if they’d properly welcomed all the new recruits. By late afternoon, she and all the other tutors had gotten a text inviting them to a party that weekend.

This gave her the perfect opportunity to figure out exactly where Luke was at. He came in for a volunteer shift on Thursday. He was still a little jumpy around her, very purposefully making eye contact, pretending she didn’t have a body to look at. “Did you get an invite to the party on Saturday?” she asked.

“I did, but I’m not sure if I’m going to go.” She could see him trying to figure out what excuse would work best on her. “I really don’t want to miss out on a night of studying and fall behind.”

She waved her hand dismissively. “One Saturday evening is not going to make or break your grades, especially this early in the semester.”

“Well, I…”

“And I’d really like to have you there. It’s important to make sure we all get to know each other.”

Luke tried to take back control of the situation. “I guess I’ll be there, then,” he said with a smile. “I was always taught it was impolite to turn down a lady’s invitation.” He stood tall as he said it, and for a moment he looked sure of himself. Strengthening himself with his religious upbringing.

Cute.

“That’s what I like to hear!”
