You can pledge in pounds now! Would you mind?
Added 2020-10-13 18:28:38 +0000 UTCPounds like what the queen has in her mouth!
Why does this matter? Well, if you've pledged in dollars and you live in the UK, you're currently spaffing away a small currency conversion fee to your bank every time you support us. Spaff, spaff, spaff, and Brian Barclaycard is laughing all the way to the bank, where he lives. Then we have to pay those fees again, when we withdraw the dollars all the way across an Atlantic Ocean. Sigh!
However, if you change your pledge into a GBP amount, you can be sure your entire pledge goes into our deserving pockets (after Patreon takes its bite, but we can't avoid that). You save money, we save money, and somebody at HSBC become fractionally less wealthy. Hey, play your cards right and there may even be a bee name in it for you.
Here's how to do it.
- On Patreon.com, hover over your avatar in the top right of your screen.
- Click Manage memberships.
- Find this page, and click Edit.
- Under Currency, choose your preferred currency.
- Click Update to save your settings.
Check out this help center article if you have questions about changing your currency.
Please let us know if this is an awful idea for some reason, or if it's annoying and difficult for you to do. Patreon recommended we do this and sometimes we suspect those guys don't have our best interests at heart? Anyway, thank you for your support, regardless of the shape of the coins you're feeding into our greedy little lips.
Love,
