ENG – Weekly devlog 20/09/24

Hello there, lovely patreons! 🥰

Did you have a good week? We hope so 😊 We continue working nonstop, no time to rest!

This week, we took Princess to the vet clinic to get a vaccine, and the poor thing ended up lying on the couch as if she had been hit by a truck. She has asked us a favor: to take charge of running Pizza Writers ourselves for a few days, so here we are Vera and I, trying to do our best so that the boss won't get too angry with us when she's back... 😅 We are sure she will recover from the trauma soon, and will be back to boss us around as always!

Vera continues working in the English translation. Currently, she's done with almost 50% of the new content. She's translating so much that I'm afraid she'll end up forgetting how to speak Spanish... haha. Some conversations are more complicated to translate than others (Vera, please don't kill me, I'm not saying translating is easy, ok? 🙈), and she's been having a difficult time translating the family chat 😐

When we write in Spanish, we don’t pay attention to the fact that, later, all that content needs to be translated... and, on many occasions, the sentences are too complicated or there is no possible way to translate them in a “literal” way. It is in those situations when Vera has to rewrite the sentences completely, which is why sometimes the characters say different things in the Spanish version and the English version. This usually happens with a lot of jokes, phrases with double meanings... But hey, in the end what's important is that the story is coherent and interesting, whatever the language! 💪

In this update, there are several characters that will change their profile photo, and we think you will like these changes. By doing playtesting we were able to see how the new photos looked in the chats and we love the result! 😃 We are sure that the new photo of a specific character will catch your attention for… obvious reasons. You'l have to wait and see! 😛 Hahahaha.

Throughout the chapter different characters will change their profile photo, but only three of them will do so on the first day. Who do you think those 3 characters will be? 😉
