Freytreon in 2024! 🐉

Yeah it's one of these again! Bunch of updates coming in, I'll try to keep it short. Stuff that isn't listed, like the OC request box & monthly artpacks, will continue as normal!

Really quickly beforehand though: I will be taking a bit of a break during the holidays, and the Christmas piece with Patrons has been taking me a while... so the fanart poll will likely not be finished on time. I'll probably get the sketch done early January, but apologies for the delay :c

Anyway, without further ado:

🦸‍♀️ Fanart poll > Merch poll

Biggest update for now, probably! It's always kinda hard for me to gauge how popular these things really are, cause while people do enjoy the results and voting, I never really get that many suggestions. I've been considering removing the suggestions part and just have it be only characters I'm personally passionate about, as that will make me more motivated to actually draw them!
That said, the fanart poll will be on break for a while, and replaced with a merch poll. I will hopefully be tabling at my first con (Dokomi) in July, and I need to actually get stuff made that I can sell. Therefore I will list some categories every month (of my choosing), and I'll let y'all pick what you want to see me work on first.

💸 Commissions

They're opening in January, and Patrons will get first dibs on a couple slots as usual :) I'll be introducing a new thing that I'm calling the BOUNTY BOARD, which'll basically just be a list of things that I've been wanting to draw for a while, and will get you a discount if you commission it.

🔞 NSFW content

I took it a bit easy with NSFW content for a while, but I wanna do more of it again cause it's fun and lets me experiment with more... complex poses. Also, just to be completely transparent; the uncensored frey(real) full nelson caused the biggest influx of patrons I've ever had, so there's a bit of a financial incentive there as well.

🐇🦝👹💀 OC content & speed

If I can find the time alongside making merch, I wanna flesh out my other OCs more. Poor Shino is an idea I've had over a year ago and I've never even finished the sketches I had mapped out for her... I also wanna give Reiko and Ava a complete change in outfit and make big pose pages for them like I did with the overalls one for Frey. Don't worry, Frey content will still happen plenty, I just wanna give the others some love as well!
To accomplish this, I wanna embrace cleaning up sketches more rather than just painstakingly doing super clean linearts. I wanna finish more things and not get caught up in perfectionism!

📅 Hero / bimonthly YCH request tier

I've been thinking about bringing this one back, but please be patient just a little longer! I need a little more time to see if I can manage it with my current planning. If I do bring it back though, there will be a small price increase so it is actually worth doing it over just taking more commissions.
Members of the old Hero tier will get early access to the first slot, but every other slot will be a FFA.

📝 NEW reward: Doodle pages

Okay so I'm actually garbo at drawing.
No really, I mean it. Digital drawing software gives me a lot of ways to get around my lack of physical skill like stabilizers, shapes, auto fill colors, millions of layers etc- But when it comes to traditional art, I'm super shaky and have very little confidence.
This is why I've been practicing traditional art a bit more through various means. Figure/gesture drawing, drawabox exercises and also, just doodling! Here's a few examples from over a year ago:

I did these for a couple weeks, but then got too busy and forgot to keep up with it. I recently started again, so here's some more recent examples:

My goal is to fill at least one page every week. I'll share these on Patreon on Fridays for $3/Recruit patrons and up, and #7/Adventurer patrons will also get to suggest things or themes for me to doodle (including their own characters).
I've wanted to do a reward like this for a long time... But I've always been kinda embarrassed of my traditional skills. Hopefully you all end up liking this!

🥕 Branding update

I like my RPG inspired bun chibis and tier names, but I feel it's time for a change in visual style. My immediate thought for something new was of course CARROTS! With tiers being represented by various different variations of the vegetable to feed Frey. So things like:

• Baby Carrot, a small carrot to represent the $1 tip jar tier
• Juicy or Sussy Carrot, maybe have it looking a little phallic, to represent the $3 tier and NSFW access
• And for anything beyond: Golden Carrot, Mythic Carrot, Rainbow Carrot, Legendary Carrot, Pile of Carrots, Ultimate Carrot, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Carrot, Gourmet Carrot, Exquisite Carrot, etc.

I'm still workshopping/brainstorming it :) If you have any more ideas, or ideas for a different theme entirely, lemme know!
