I don't believe it. I think the first book sucks exactly as much as the second. Just like RP1 & Armada. And from what I've heard from those who have read it, this is true.

2022-09-25 17:18:13 +0000 UTCThe story I had heard, about Gump & Co., was that Winston Groom was so disappointed with the film version of the first book that he intentionally wrote the sequel to be so bad, and Forrest to be so unlikable, that they would never be able to make a movie out of it. I don't know if that's true, but I can believe having assed around with it.
