Shadow Moon: Episoude the Fourth
Added 2019-12-12 23:43:05 +0000 UTCA jam-packed episode made all the more thrilling because Mike's computer crashed twice while making it. Was it ensorcelled by a HardDriveHeron with CrashCharms? We may never know.
What else? Pretty straightforward, nothing really stands out -- Oh, wait: Willow becomes a floor. I think that's pretty self-explanatory.

I would guess the twin will play some future role...but possibly not in this book.

2019-12-17 19:20:50 +0000 UTCStill working through this episode, and for those who were confused, Anakerie had a twin, and for their last birthday before the Cataclysm, the twin gave her that silver hairclip. Why that makes Thorn want to revive the Demon's child, I don't know. And I can't believe I actually strung those particular words together.

2019-12-17 18:21:44 +0000 UTCI've decided I don't want this book in my house for the holidays. So I manned up and decided to barrel straight to the end of the book... The horror. The horror.

2019-12-16 17:20:56 +0000 UTCOff topic: I’ve been getting something like two or three robocalls a weekday for the past year, but over the past month or two it does feel like they’ve stepped up their game to include weekends and about four a day. Thankfully Apple added a feature to send all unknown callers to voicemail as they don’t leave messages and I don’t get my phone ringing at inopportune times

2019-12-15 17:36:58 +0000 UTCI tend to think of this podcast in terms of the books that have been covered rather than particular episodes, but I have to say, I think this is one of my favorite episodes you guys have ever done. Just really funny from start to finish. Both at the tops of your game. Thank you for continuing to put in the work even after ten books!

2019-12-14 08:38:29 +0000 UTCNot saying this is RIGHT. Just saying this is what I thought was going on.

2019-12-14 01:58:52 +0000 UTCOK, I'm going to try to explain what I think is going on, because it doesn't line up with Mike & Conor at all: 1) The knife to the forehead was psychic/magic and was meant to turn Willow into a death-dog-lord; 2) The demon (via floor-possession or whatever) saves Willow from that fate; 3) His price is getting Willow to put demon-daughter in spice-girl-body.

2019-12-14 01:58:21 +0000 UTCI know Mike had his tongue in his cheek when he wrote the opening but I honestly think there's a chance -C

2019-12-13 17:39:25 +0000 UTCI don't want to sound like the guys who refused to call Cassius Clay by the name Muhammed Ali, but damn it boy, he's Willow! He'll always be Willow!

2019-12-13 16:58:24 +0000 UTCIt's funny that a Lucas property should bring up The Last Airbender given that one of the major contributors for it was Dave Filoni, who worked closely with Lucas and is now one of the highest muckity-mucks with Disney's Star Wars. Circles within circles.

2019-12-13 16:31:42 +0000 UTCI think it's hard to beat BOB HONEY in terms of depressingly ugly cynicism and incomprehensible plot/characters, but hey, at least it was short. If SHADOW MOON ends up taking the crown from it when all is said and done, I'd more than understand.

2019-12-13 15:07:59 +0000 UTCDear lord...the cannibal scene reminded me of an episode of 'Room 104' called 'Hungry'.

2019-12-13 14:08:40 +0000 UTCThis book is unreasonably punishing. It just is an absolute chore to figure out simple things like "Who is talking?" and "What is happening?". Move aside Sean Penn, this is the new worst book that has appeared on the show.

2019-12-13 01:56:10 +0000 UTC@Kelly Long - I tried to catch up listening to the audio book. It was a directionless MIshMash of battle scenes, faceless character names, a deep mysterious voice, strenuous spells, the Batcave in a pouch, a guy with claws who used knives instead, and a deer or a horse (or a cow) that looked like a pincushion. Then suddenly René Auberjonois was thanking me for listening at the end of the book when I thought I was in Ch 7 or 8. Now you're caught up and understand as much as any of us ;-)
