Which name do you like most?
Added 2023-06-07 12:01:56 +0000 UTCHello, so I did go through all the comments on Patreon and under the RR chapter, and there are a few names that I like the most.
Mana Channeler
Mana Junkie
All the Mana
Beyond Hell
Beyond Hell Difficulty
Mana all the way
All the Mana
So, which one do you like the most? Many of you came up with names containing "Mana," and I did try to pick a few of the most interesting ones.
There is also an option to keep the original name, but even if I decide to change it, the promise of characters powerful enough to be called "Weapons of Mass Destruction" will remain.
As I said, I'll give it a lot of thought while looking at what you think and taking that into consideration. In the end, the final decision and its consequences are up to me as the author of this story :)

I like “fanatic” or “zealot” better than “junkie”.

2023-06-08 06:23:38 +0000 UTCHonestly, the options all just don't seem quite right for me. I would say maybe something more along the lines of "Mana Madness" (although this sounds a bit too much like a video-game), "Mana Maniac" or "Mana Fanatic". Something that highlights the insanity/obsession required to become truly extraordinary in something through sheer hard work, without the crazy luck or fortunate circumstances that other people may have.

2023-06-07 13:25:33 +0000 UTCNo problem at all. I appreciate all the feedback. What I'm looking for is a slightly shorter name so that in case I publish, I can add the name of the book to it. For example, 'All the Mana: Cinderbear's Forest' - or something like this. This is just an example. The name should also be easily memorable, and I don't like overly 'flowery' titles or ones that are too long - that's just my personal preference.

2023-06-07 13:19:04 +0000 UTCNormaly, I wouldn't dare enter into a creation process, but as this is put to the vote, I will freely admit that I don't particularly like any of these titles for the simple reason that I don't feel the story behind them. I have chosen Mana Junkie as the lesser evil and voted so, with Beyond Hell as a close second. At this moment, that seems to be the case with the others as well, based on the results of the voting. Can I propose an addendum and a small change? The name of the book: "Mana Junkie: The Tale of Power and Survival" And as the author has the ambition of writing more, for the whole series: "Cold Heart, Fiery Mana: The Beyond Hell Saga"

2023-06-07 13:12:26 +0000 UTCWell, it is a bit of a derogatory term for an addict, but it fits one of his aspects. It just doesn't fit well enough. He is a focused, power-seeking, mana-loving junkie in simulated hell. To simplify it to Mana junkie is too uninspired, but it is unfortunately the best of the choices put before us, and I voted so.

2023-06-07 12:23:36 +0000 UTCTalking about junkie for coffee lovers is quite common. But I agree with your observation, I'm Aldo not a native speaker, and irony goes over my head sometimes.

2023-06-07 12:22:43 +0000 UTCIt can be. However there are cases where it's more benign, (i.e. adrenaline junkie) it's ment to describe excessive behavior

2023-06-07 12:22:10 +0000 UTCI think it sounds interesting too, but isn't "junkie" mostly a negative word? I'm not a native speaker, but up until now, I've thought of it mostly in a negative way. Only a few days ago did I find out that it can sometimes be used in a playful way.

2023-06-07 12:10:22 +0000 UTCPlease ignore "All the Mana" being there 2 times. Try to use only one. Thanks!

2023-06-07 12:08:13 +0000 UTCI think Mana Junkie really brings out the most unique aspect of the story and the MC. There are few characters as hyper-specialized as him.
