Episode 27 - A Heavy Airquotes Simple Plan

Chapter 22 of Tekwar may be the second stupidest chapter we've read on this podcast. The first, of course, being the one in Armada where The Emissary just, you know, cures cancer and every other disease. But this one is close. We will explain why in great detail.

We'll also FINALLY meet one of the characters the other characters have been talking about. We'll get to bask in presence of the charismatic, bon vivant that is The Fat Globo. We'll encounter racist android brothel owners. And we'll see how Mike does on his Fan Fic guessing even though he's misplaced his lucky pencil.

For next time, read thru Chapter 30!

Hand saw. You have a hand saw, in your garage, Mike.

Mike audibly rolled his eyes at the comparison, but watch Little Mac ko Soda Popinski here and tell me that's not exactly what Shatlart was describing: https://youtu.be/UIHyurw_Hn0?t=45

Once, sometime in the plasgoldfuture, I will. fool. Mike. OKay, hitting return posts, so this is going paragraph free. The thing that bugs me most about this book is here the author(s) have this nice set up, the drug kingpin is a former love of the ex-cop trying to redeem himself. But, do we get anything about their time together? Flashbacks, a bit of that juicy history? No. What the everloving hell is going on dropping that lede? It's like they created a nice setup by accident.

Mike beat me on "Real or Fan Fic" because I didn't get the first one as real. Which is strange because I actually have finished the book—I forgot where we were supposed to stop—and don't remember Winger coming back. I wouldn't of believed it.

So, you're saying that the jokes aren't Rare? (I'm so sorry, again) -Conor

Y'know, lots of folks make jokes about my name, but I've never been more proud than right now. :-D
