TV Tropes says it's "[A word] Theis made up for no clear reason and with no clear meaning." I am absolutely shocked something in The Eye of Argon is needlessly confusing.

Scozsctic was first written in an unreleased, unnamed manuscript by Charles Dickens, only found after his death 1870 by his estate attorney. As you know, Charles Dickens was the author of such famous works as the Pickwick Papers in 1836, Oliver Twist in 1837, Nicholas Nickleby in 1838, The Old Curiosity Shop in 1840, A Christmas Carol in 1843. I've never read the Christmas Carol itself, I am more of a fan of the 1984 classic movie directed by Clive Donner and starring George C. Scott. Although, I do have a special place in my heart for the classic 1988 parody Scrooged, directed by Richard Donner and staring classic 1980's comedian Bill Murray. It is interesting to note that though they shared the same classic surname of Donner, Clive and Richard were not related despite both having adapted the classic Dicken's novel.
