How indeed can Karl be skeptical of stuttering John's abuse stories, and do a podcast that deals in nothing but an endless River of child abuse and mayhem? Also knowing how annoying John must have been as a kid... In the words of the immortal Chris Rock, "I'm not saying I agree with it, I'm just saying I understand."

People get abused for no reason?! That never happens! Yes, Karl, it does. How can Karl wade through the horror of a scum stream yet consistently be genuinely amazed at other's random misfortune? Lucky bastard, he is unshakably happy.
