Retirement from Content Creation

Dear members,

Last week, I had a meeting at work and during this meeting, I commited to dedicating more time to my job. The direct consequence is that I will no longer have the free time I have used to enjoy to write, record and edit all these videos I've made for you since 2018.

I started making Youtube videos in 2018. Back then, I was working from home and I had plenty of available time, no commute, it was very convenient to release videos back to back while playing at the same time.

Then in 2020, I got a new job, an hour away from where I live. It's a really great place to work at and I really love it there. Luckily, my working hours have been 1pm to 7pm so I've still been able to create content in the mornings, while going to work in the afternoon. This is how I've organized my schedule for the past 4 years.

That is going to change. Last week, I have learnt that I will no longer have that free time in the morning. This meant two things. Either I would spend my evenings and weekends creating content, or putting an end to it.

Being a father and a husband, we (after talking with my wife and kids) decided that I would no longer be an active content creator. My wife and kids need me to be around for them and that is as you can understand a priority.

This doesn't mean that it's the end of "Erad". I will still occasionally play and record "livestreams" on Tuesdays (my day off) . I'll be reacting to Star Citizen and gaming news and I'll put the highlights on Youtube, but I am not going to make premium or carefully edited videos simply because I won't have the time anymore.

I would like to thank all of you who have been supportive throughout these past 5 years, It's been an incredible journey and I hope that we'll continue to be able to have some great time together with the new formula that's going to come up soon.
