Timeline for The Broken Knife!

I got an email from my publisher today (ZOMG that feels so weird) regarding the timeline for TBK.

Anna has confirmed that her current project will end on Friday and she’ll be able to start on Monday with book 1 if we’re ready. I’m going to set you up with a month for each stage—it's longer than we normally do, at 2 weeks, but if you’re happy you can always hand in early and we can move along, but gives us a safety net—this means that book 1 will be tentatively ready for recording at the end of march, if not before, and we can push for a summer release, with the plan being that we roll each book in sequence, so that if book 1 is in dev edits sept-nov, then book 2 is nov-dec, 3 is dec-jan etc etc.

So you guys are the first to know (as you should be!) that Broken Knife will start rolling out next summer, including the audiobooks. This does mean that when I get books back from the editor, I may take a day here and there to focus on that, rather than writing Lucky Rabbit, but I'm still over here authoring! I want to show them that I can do this in the two weeks.

I have to admit that in spite of the contract, I've been over here waiting to pull a Pandy, where for some reason this doesn't happen, so getting this email makes it feel so much more real. Phew. Now I just need six blurbs! (And I'm totally going to ask for your help on them 😅)
