2022: A Year In Books

Hello friends,

As I've talked about a couple of times, reading has been a big thing for me this year. I usually read the most when I'm feeling calm, or maybe reading makes me calm? Either way, it's just been really lovely to be accompanied by books all year round. I distinctly remember reading "1984" on a sunny day in the park, or "Earthlings" on a bench outside of our hotel on a vacation at the North Sea. I love these little memories that are tied to the books now.

Have you read any of these, and if so, which one did you like best?

I loved Mistborn and enjoyed the first few books of the Stormlight Archive. But I think I lost interest after the third or fourth?

That's when I discover them as well! Do you have a favourite one?

The secret is having lost all faith in humanity already. πŸ’€

I used to read a lot of Brandon Sanderson and other fantasy novels in my early 20s! So many fond memories. :)

Hoe did you read Atonement, Never let me go Γ‘nd A little life in one year without losing all faith in humanity? That said, I think Never let me go is one of the greatest novels in history, showing just what a story can accomplish. I love it. But I don’t want to read it again :)

Anna Baas

I read Atonement and 1984 ages ago when I was still in high school (needless to say, not by my choice but as part of English literature). Still, this year I tried to go back into reading. My comfort genre is fantasy and I actually manage to read quite a lot, especially from Brandon Sanderson, my favourite author!
