Recent Sketches

I'm sharing a couple of sketches with you today. These past few years, I haven't dedicated a lot of time to simple pencil drawings, and instead, focused on more elaborate illustrations. But I sometimes have to remind myself how much I love working with just lines and a bit of shading here and there. Not everything I start has to turn into a huge painting. So I've been creating little drawings like these recently, just for myself.
The first drawing was done in Procreate, the others are scans from my sketchbook.
I've been gathering my art from 2020 until now for my second art book that's coming out in fall 2023. There are going to be a lot more sketches in it compared to the previous one, most of them unseen!
Also, I've been practicing painting with gouache. It's still quite challenging, but I'm getting better!
