It’s the weekend!!! And I shouldn’t be working at all today, but I felt like writing this post. It’s beautiful and sunny outside and I already went for an hour-long walk and took a nap. I’ve been looking forward to a lazy day like this for quite some time.
Anyway.
I started working on a new painting as part of my Phantasma project! (I really need to get the site updated again to give you more info about it).
The illustration is heavily inspired by this photo I saw on Pinterest:

After discovering it, I immediately knew that I wanted to paint something similar!
Also, I‘ve bern stressing out about Instagram recently. I got back into posting after a long break and my engagement has dropped significantly. I can’t help but feel insecure when it comes to the algorithm. But the last thing I want to do is become a video creator (vs. a painter) to satisfy the demands of the platform just because videos “perform well”. Makes me feel like I’m jumping through hoops and it’s just not worth it.
I sent out this post yesterday:

I received over 300 comments which shows me that people definitely care and it’s a nice feeling. I won’t let the platform dictate what I create but still keep doing my thing!
And lastly, here are some more shots of my current work in progress:

Thank you for being awesome! 🧡
