Patreon's reaction to art theft

Hey guys! :]

I just got this email from Patreon and I think it sounds encouraging:

Hi Djamila Knopf,

We’re reaching out to you because you’ve shared your concerns with us about Yiff Party. As you likely know, Yiff Party recently built tools for bad acting patrons to upload content and opened up their platform to more users. This devalues art and we are not ok with that. This is frustrating and upsetting for our creators, which means it is unacceptable to us.

We’ve been evaluating the situation as they’ve increased their efforts, and we are now increasing ours and prioritizing this immediately. Our engineering, product, and legal teams are going to fight vigorously to protect your art.

You are not alone in fighting Yiff Party. We will identify the best way forward and will get in touch with you regarding additional updates.

If you’d like to take action on your own, you can file a DMCA notice to Yiff Party’s service providers. For guidance on how to do that, please reach out to us here.

Regards,
Patreon’s Community Happiness team

That's so great to hear that they're already fighting against them!

Sounds great, I hope they are successful! Glad patreon actually reacts to it's creators problems (unlike some other platforms)!
