"Metamorphosis" - Sketch and Lineart
Added 2016-10-25 08:16:03 +0000 UTCFor this week's challenge, I did not do the usual preliminary planning. Instead, I just started drawing to see where it would take me. I had a certain mood and expression in mind that I wanted to capture. This is what came out of it. I thought it might be interesting to put the digital sketch and the pencil lineart side by side for comparison. I'm going to colour it today and post the final as soon as it's done!Also, I have finished the rewards for "Secret Place" and I'm working on the ones for "Passage" now. Both will be posted at the beginning of November! The rewards for the Metamorphosis and Darkness challenge will be up at the beginning of December. Splitting it this way seems to be a better option than charging you for 4 illustrations in a single month. I hope that's ok with you!Thanks for all the support and see you later!

Oh and I’d love to see more of your sketches if you have sketchbook tours - love the ones of the Japanese plants, too!

I love how delicate and detailed they are on paper in your book 😍 do you have recommendations, tutorials (ideally yours) about sketching only? or books for getting better at sketching? I feel like I’m progressing in general with my knowledge with colors, and light and perspective…but not my sketches…
