When Ned and Catlyn we'd, they didn't really know each other (like she told Robb way back when). I don't think they were married long at all when he left. So I can 100% see why he honored his Sister and her dying wish more. Then once you yourself got to know Cat (even though you liked/loved her), she made some reckless decisions, so it's smart Ned never told her the truth about Jon. In my opinion.

i just think that they kind of butchered a lot of characters in seasons 7 and 8

I thought season 7 and 8 were okay. The odd episode was really good. But what I really missed was a grand finale. Us GOT viewers are used to a spectacular season ending and it was a shame we didn't get that.

It's mostly the last 2 episodes of season 8. People didn't like the direction it took with some characters. Better decisions could have been made but still try and enjoy what it was.. and if you think it has a happy ending , youn havent been paying attention.. lol. I personally enjoyed 7 and 8.

gotta give you props for catching onto the lyanna scene and remembering that her and rhaegar had some sort of a relationship! there’s quite a few reactors that didn’t understand the implication of the scene. it blew my mind on first watch for sure. also the sequence at the beginning of cersei blowing up the sept of baelor is AMAZING. everything about it. ramin djawadi, the composer of the music, really outdid himself there.

Try not to let people complaining about 7 x 8 bother you. Sometimes I feel like it's a mob mentality almost. Everyone I know who just watched it like me loved season 7. Yeah 8 does a couple of things I didn't like but its not a horrible season imo. Lord I hope I'm not basked in comments for this comment. Great reaction as your awesome as always. The music in the beginning of the episode is the first time they use a piano in any of the OST. A gorgeous piece that fits the scenes so well. The High Sparrow got cocky. Rick Grimes in 6x16. He thought Cersei couldn’t beat him. Your face when Tommen dipped was all of us but we couldn’t pause watching it live. Yes, Arya took that face. She’s got the skill set now. Jon is not Lord Commander or any part of the Night’s Watch now. He died so he’s out in these Winterfell streets. And his parentage will be dealt with later. Lil Lyanna Mormont told those grown ass men SHAME SHAME SHAME. All she needed was a damn bell. The Lannister’s didn’t start all of it. Remember we learned that Littlefinger had Lysa poison Jon Arryn. So Robert needed a new Hand. So they all went up to Winterfell to get Ned. Jon Arryn dying started the whole chain of events.
