Friday Update: Hilde's Audition

What you see in this video is the audition sent by our new Hilde actor (who wishes to remain uncredited, sorry!). It's a dummy script we wrote for the sole purpose of hearing how our Hilde would play off of our Duo. It's not canon; Blue and I just wrote it together on the couch one night as an example of how Hilde and Duo would talk to each other. We then had our Duo record his side of the script when already at the studio for Ep.13, and I put his half of the dialogue to video so our Hilde auditions could respond to him more organically.
For you guys, I've plugged Hilde's audition in. This is obviously a rough draft, first take, with no sound effects or matching lipflaps or anything like that. It's obviously still "two people talking in different rooms," but they'll sound more in-sync when we direct them together with a real script. This was just for an audition, but we liked her range between 'omg Duo's annoying' and 'omg Duo's adorable'. The giggles felt real.
While we had multiple good auditions, we could ultimately only pick one. And this is who we picked! We're excited to work with a new talented actor and hope you'll like her a lot in Ep.14.
