Friday Update: Turn Treize Turn

For this week's update, I thought I'd show you how I removed a pesky Romefeller dude who had nothing to do with this scene in Ep.13.

In the original show, Treize comes in to answer to multiple Romefeller higher ups, and Dermail has a whole group at the side of the room in the opening shot. However, they serve no purpose for our scene and we never use that first shot, so this random guy just standing here is distracting. I didn't like it.

So, in order to remove him, I just used some layers. I started with a copy/paste of the window on the left side, then applied other small layers to cover what I didn't need. I then used the lasso tool to select Treize's figure and remove him from the new window in all five frames of him turning to face Tuberov to the left. I think the final result looks pretty clean, don't you?

Next week will be the final video preview of Ep.13. It's about... a minute and a half, I think? It's mostly finished, but I haven't done lipflaps or final sound effects. I was going to put it up this week, but didn't have a chance last night to finish it. So you have to wait one more week.
