Kotaro is shigarakis father. So the grandmother, previous one for all user, changed her family records so no one would know she had a child, and so all for one wouldn't be able to harm him or use him as leverage against her. Also watch the my hero acadamia OVA, all might rising. It's two minutes long and is canon, you should've seen it by now. She wanted to protect her son more than anything and she thought the best choice but also ultimate sacrifice would be to doctor official documents and act like she never had a kid to begin with. That's why she is crying like that, it's not cause he's a bother and she just wants to go hunt some villains. She just was this scared of what AFO would do to her son if he found out.

Kirishima's Heart was such an epic moment (and always has them tbf, can see why Bakugo respects him) MoMo taking the lead. Just sympathising with a villain's origin and hoping he'll manage to commit mass murder are two different things lol.

2024-04-17 14:29:34 +0000 UTCIt is also a very interesting commentary on what its like to be a woman, mother, and hero at the same time. Could say fathers wouldn't have had this problem because the child could just be at home with the mum in a sense, but because Nana was a hero and a mother she'd have to stay by her son especially as a baby which meant constantly putting him in danger from AFO. In a way she made the ultimate sacrifice a mum can make staying away from her own son, but she never realized the consequences. Her son became bitter and resentful to heroes, and as we can see from the flashbacks, that created the ultimate villain Shigaraki, Nana's own grandson.

The fact she abandoned her son (shigarki's father) led the ideology of the father hating heros and ruining shigaraki's life, but there is a catch. She abandoned the father against her will as we see her crying, naturally no mother want to abandon her child, but she was forced to do so because of ALL FOR ONE threat as he can use the son in his plans against the woman (she had one for all). So what led to shigaraki's poor childhood is not the nature of the heros, it is the threat of the villains, all for one. AFO ruined shigaraki's childhood indirectly, brainwashed him into thinking that the heros abondoned him and villains are okay to exist. He is A TRUE VILLAIN, a manipulater that ruined shigaraki's life then is using him. Shigaraki is a victim of AFO and he still need help from a true hero in my opinion.

Gonna be honest, everything in Season 4 onwards was way better for me (Mirio + Overhaul, The festival, gentle criminal + Endevour fight with nomu), vs Season 2 (Tournament and Stain were the only highlights I think?). Also not gonna lie, 3-4 episodes of S6 was enough to clear all of S2 for me LMAO, but it's interesting to see you hold it so high still.
