Maybe Saturn did something to Kuma in order to save Bonney. Even though yes, vegapunk did the cyborg changes... Saturn did something before that and perhaps vegapunk actually saved Kuma by delaying his "death"

2023-11-10 02:28:36 +0000 UTCMy theory here is that after the flashback is finished, Kuma is currently heading towards the Celestial Dragon that is Bonney's real dad in order to attack him but the holy knights will stop him just in time and he will have a sad death. This is why Oda showed Kuma running past Akainu and the timing with this flash back. Anyway whatever happens It's gonna be crazy and chapter 1100 soon which is also gonna be huge as usual.

2023-11-09 19:26:09 +0000 UTCOne theory I have is that this sapphire scale disease is an STD which also is hereditary that affects most if not all celestial dragons and their blood line. The source could be one of the multiple cited "great crimes" against them, meaning that someone in the past may have cursed them with this fabricated disease in order to end them from ever reproducing. Notably Nefertari D. Lili if she's not Imu and others. However, someone managed to render that curse useless by inventing a UV blocking suit with the glass sphere that they can wear from birth and stop the disease from really progressing at all since they stop it from the very start of their life. This means that this disease is actually to their benefit now because any victims/loose ends that they can't manage to end off themselves in their savagery of lust will die off way sooner than normal without them having to do anything. It's become their own safety policy and so they haven't asked vegapunk to cure it the way he did with Bonney. Just a thought fam.

I also think Kuma made a deal with Vegapunk to cure Bonney by letting him run tests on him. The only cure?
