The best time I had in a haunted house was the first time I wore a full head-covering mask of a tiger and no one in our group could tell I had my eyes closed or see my "AAAAAAHHHHH" face. Low visibility also made me very worried about tripping and falling so I focused on even measured steps. Afterwards friends commented on how steady I was and kept everyone moving forward despite the jump scares that I didn't even react to(couldn't even see them haha) felt like a legit superpower.
