Disaster Preparation at the Old Japanese Farm House!!

Comments

The shopping cart is the wife's idea, Brian. Out thought processes are very different, and that results in some surprises for me when she has a good idea that I never would have thought of. Yes, hoping to never use any of it!

Outstanding. I'm a prepper at heart, but where I live, what I'm prepared for rates as a "mild inconvenience" by Japanese standards. Backpacks are vital, of course. But the "little old lady shopping cart" is a great idea: Simple, inexpensive, and durable. They're made to hold lots of weight, so you can transport a lot of kit with one of those. I bought one for a few bucks about 5 years ago. The thing is as tough as nails! Redundancy is good. I see you have multiple systems for cooking and heating. You can go very deep down the rabbit hole in prepping for disaster. Food, water, first aid, medications, communications, illumination, etc. Wind up radios and flashlights, and power packs, generators and inverters, etc, etc, etc. The list of things to stock up on is endless. I see you're well prepped for "staying", but with a realistic eye toward "leaving". These are two very big scenarios, each with their own lists. Here's wishing you good luck, and may your supplies sit forever unused.
