The image above shows the DAT updates for just one 24 hour period!! If you are not using DatVault with RomVault how are you keeping your DATs up to date? My guess is you probably are not.

No-Intro Aftermarket DATs have arrived.

I switched in the new No-Intro Aftermarket code yesterday evening, and the update has now completed and all is looking good.

Changes are coming to the No-Intro DAT sets.

There has been a push in the no-Intro world to pull apart a number of DATs into two separate DATs.

A number of DAT will be splitting into:

Machine Life DAT and an After Market DAT

Where Machine Life is real 'games' released for the system during its actual release life cycle.

After Market is anything else like games made by individuals more recently.

For example: A2600 will split into:

A2600 <-- Known as the Machine Life DAT and

A26...

TOSEC Fixed DATs

A few errors have been found in 5 of the DATs from the 2024-05-17 TOSEC DAT Pack release.

These have been corrected in the DATs you can download from DATVault.

Just another way DATVault keeps you ahead of the game with updated DATs.

Some info for anybody thinking about signing up:

I create the access key for DatVault manually. So once I see you have joined here, I create your key and then send it to you in a Patreon message.

Please 'DO' once you have signed up feel free to message me on the RomVault discord server letting me know that you have signed up, and I should then be able to generate your key a little quicker.

Otherwise I normally check for new members about every 24 hours or there abo...

ROMVault 3.6 WIP6 - CHD native support.

Some exciting news to bring Patreon supporters today.

A group of us have been working hard to add native (C#) CHD verifying to RomVault. This means that chdman.exe is no longer needed, also the C# implementation is using a lot of parallel running code meaning this version will scan CHD files somewhere around 3 or 4 times faster than previous version (using chdman.exe), This code is very stable but is still considered WIP, being released as WIP 6.

FOUND-MIA reporting back. RV V3.5.1

What happens if you find an MIA (Missing in Action) ROM?

Now in the new release of RV3.5.1 you have 3 options as to what happens if you find an MIA missing ROM. (A Bright Green rom in your Game Grid.)

There are now 2 tick boxes in the RomVault Settings dialog.

Reporting MIA ROMs

With the arrival of MIA ROMs in DV, you the users now report back if you find a MIA rom... 

This poll is here to figure out how you feel about reporting back found roms, and do you care if your name is attached to this feedback in my MIA DB system.

First: I would never put your name in any public channel or website.

But when a very long lost rom is found it would be nice to be able to contact you the finder to help preserve this re-found rom.

MAME & vPinMAME - Daily Updates

Coming to you first from DatVault, the latest EmuArc DATs are now available in DV.

Get them from DV exclusively first. 

Yori - Arcade & Artwork DATs added to DV

A couple of DAT sets have been added to DV,

Yori Yoshizuki was a very big DAT source, but appears to have left the scene.

So adding a couple of his sets to the Archive DAT's to keep them alive.

ROMVault3.4.5 Wip6

TOSEC Just added to DATVault.

I am very happy to announce that TOSEC has just been added to DATVault !!

Please update to 3.4.3 to use TOSEC the add new dialog has been completely redesign to make setting up TOSEC much easier.

Registration Fix for 3.4.2

Turned out a left the registration button disabled in the official 4.3.2 release.

So here is a quick fix, only needed by anybody just joining DatVauit needing to enter their new code.

Just letting you all in on an early look at a new DatVault UI in RomVault that is now in the works, should make updating your DAT's even easier!!

RomVault V3.4 has now been released, and this version fully support DatVault.

DATVault has been super busy for the last few days.

Just added a bunch of new DAT sources with more to come.

And a MAME release today, so it was nice to see the Public MAME dat set get an update so anybody can see how things works.
