2020-07-15 07:01:49 +0000 UTCAre you sure that's not centimeter and 2mm marks on the lighter one (closer to the camera)? If so I'd guess that the marks further from from the camera on the lighter one are whale shaku (kujirashaku) which was used for measuring cloth according to Wikipedia.
