I think there is something very appealing about the idea of making/repairing things with stuff lying around, and in the process gradually cleaning up and opening up space. NOBODY likes to trudge off to the home center and spend tons of cash on new materials. The amount of things you've made, improved upon, and repaired with the materials you've had on hand is just awesome. Well done!
