Today’s Salon Cancelled

Today’s the last day of the fringe. I’m genuinely wrecked and the Wi-Fi’s bad. I’m going to have to pull today’s salon. But there will be a book club on Friday and salon next Monday as usual.
If you’d like to spend an hour in something like my company, there’s a new Tea With Alice up with Aaron Simmonds, who is delightful and interesting to listen to.
Also the gig at the Bill Murray in London where I will be filming twist on 3 September looks like it’s sold out, which is lovely. I hope to see you all there!

2023-08-28 23:28:33 +0000 UTCWas the salon I (virtually) attended one of the most delightful things ever? Yes. Will I do it again just as soon as I possibly can? Absolutely. Would I do it at the expensive of your much-needed rest? Nope! The Fringe sounds amazing, but also absolutely exhausting. Like exhausting on a practical level because you're busy with a lot of things, but it must take SO much out of you creatively. The live Gargles were amazing - I could tell that it was a totally different energy and you put so much into it...but if you're putting that much into a bunch of shows in rapid succession, it's a wonder you don't come home comatose. If it were me, I wouldn't need a seat on the plane, a breathable burlap sack would suffice because I couldn't tell the difference.
