Hey guys,
Winter 1999 is the newest short story from my Love, Murder, Basketball series.
It follows Hiro and Sakura Tanaka during their first year as parents. They’re doing their best to raise a newborn in a neighborhood that doesn’t accept them, facing discrimination, financial struggles, and the kind of loneliness that comes with being seen as outsiders.
It’s a quiet story about love, survival, and what it means to keep going even when the world feels cold.
What to expect:
♡ Early look into the Tanaka family’s beginnings
♡ Struggles of young parenthood and poverty
♡ Subtle tension and realism
♡ A small but powerful piece of their world
57 pages!
All proceeds from Winter 1999 will go toward my dog’s treatment. My goal is to sell 80 copies to reach the amount needed by the end of this week. Every bit of support helps more than I can say.
UPDATE! Another payment method has been added as requested; you may now pay by card if you do not have PayPal.
UPDATE 2! There is currently an ongoing update for the new payment method; therefore, card users, I have made the light story also acceptable on Ko-fi for purchase! Ko-fi Link to purchase
Thank you for reading, sharing, or even just taking the time to care. An illustrated cover will be created once I have the time.
