SATSUJIN EXPRESSION STUDY ILLUSTRATIONS [SKETCHES] EARLY ACCESS

Hey guys,

How is everyone doing? I hope all is well.

These are some expression studies that I’ll fully render later [I might even animate it]. I’ve been diving deep into facial expressions lately and wanted to illustrate a moment of Satsujin waking up from a bender and only to look in the mirror and realize he knocked out one of his front teeth.

I probably won’t draw his teeth this realistically in the comic, but for standalone illustrations I will. His teeth are a mess due to his drug addiction, which I think is an important detail to capture.

Satsujin is one of my more chaotic characters, but that’s what makes him so fun to draw, as he’s super expressive.

Furthermore, after a bender, his brain basically sounds like Grimes’ Oblivion.
