Album Vote
Added 2022-07-02 08:46:31 +0000 UTCHey guys! When I checked last night before bed, Halsey was winning the poll. It seems more people voted over night and now Olivia Rodrigo has pulled ahead. I know I said I was going to close out the poll last night, so I want to be fair. Also, the vote is so, so close!
So let's vote directly between the two albums! I'm choosing Manic as the Halsey album since more of you mentioned it in the original post (plus I already did like 4 songs from IICHLIWP on YouTube).

2022-07-05 19:54:47 +0000 UTCBummed to see Sour winning 😭 I love the album but you’ve done a decent amount of it on your YouTube channel already, and it’s not all that lyrically complex. I think Manic would be so much more interesting for you to do, but I’ll be watching either way :)
2022-07-05 18:41:02 +0000 UTCI agree that both are great albums. I voted for sour because it just puts me in a good mood. It's a breakup album but feels very cathartic. Halsey is very dark and can be too much especially these days. Again, I'm excited for either album!

The vote is for which one do we want to analyze the lyrics and meanings? Manic is poetry to music. Sour (again - not a criticism) is really straight forward in its lyrics with the exception of Favorite Crime. I just think the Manic album will give us a lot more to talk about, so I hope Halsey pulls ahead on this one!

2022-07-02 16:12:12 +0000 UTCI really love the sour album, it's one of my favs but i think it's a pretty straight forward album so I'm actually hoping the Halsey album one wins even though I have never listened to it! Mainly because i hear their lyrics have a lot more depth to them so i imagine there is a lot more to analyze.
