And the new project is... Mademoiselle D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers

Now I can talk about the new comic project.  I'm drawing the first pages after weeks of working on the script and character creation.

Character creation is not an easy task.   Sometimes a well-built character in the sketch process changes dramatically when I draw him/her on the comic page.  This is because the most essential part of a character is the breath of life.  You have to draw him/her directly on the comic pages to feel his/her essence.  In the case of Porthos, I felt that he was more Viking, a more medieval knight, closer to a blond Jason Momoa :)...

The project will be one hundred pages long, divided into two albums (four chapters): 1.  The Three Musketeers.  2.  The Revenge of Milady.  I admit, I'm a big fan of Alexandre Dumas' work but my intention is not to repeat the same story we all know.  Nope.  This is an adult, different, more shameless and scandalous musketeer story, to my style and personal touch.

Next month I'll be uploading comic pages.  I hope you'll enjoy them :)

One for all and all for one! ;))))

Many thanks! To tell a new and different classical-theme story is a challenge. I'll do my best :D

Looks very promising. I love your choice of swashbuckling stories, first pirates and now Musketeers.

Arthur

Awesome! Thanks for your input :D

Alas, I cannot find a clip of the scene, but watch the film again and you'll spot it. It's one of the best laughs in a very funny movie.

I didn't know about the silent Douglas Fairbanks adaptation. Sounds great! I'll watch it on YouTube. I'm a big fan of the Michael York ones too. I'll see what I can do about the carriage scene lol

Oh, I am looking forward to this! Big fan of both the silent Douglas Fairbanks Dumas adaptions and the 1970s Michael York ones. Please tell me you'll re-create the scene where Constance hitches a ride on a carriage and her breasts intrude through the carriage window. πŸ˜›
