I don't think he was all there when he was with sakura I think he just hid it better. But in the flash backs sakura was also not ok either she was drinking alot and I'm pretty sure hiro was already hitting not only the children but her too. So his love for his family is kind of twisted.

I’m surprised he’s only 12 here, he looks about 15-16, but that’s probably due to the stress and abuse from the gang. If only he had stayed on the straight and narrow like he was in the beginning with Sakura 😢🖤

Jesus he looks awful. All those bruises. Did his dad do it? Did his dad’s men do it? I think back to the precious moments with him and his wife and think of how much he appreciates her before things went south. Like she was the light in his life that he needed
