Patreon news update for all future patrons

Hello! This news is for all the new and future patrons!

Starting November 2024, Apple will be requiring that Patreon use their in app purchasing system and remove all other billing systems from the patreon iOS.

This means that new memberships purchased in iOS app will be subjected to Apple's 30% App Store fee.

This will not impact existing memberships and will only impact new memberships purchased in iOS starting from November 2024. This also affects people who swap tiers as each swap is considered as a re-sub.

For people who want to avoid paying this fee on top of regular Patreon price (also for people swapping tiers) I would recommend that you do it through a website and not through iOS as there will be no extra fee added there.

TLDR don't sub to patrons through apple as they will make you pay 30% on top of regular tier price. Instead sub through a website. That is all. XD
