Soo... about this layout
Added 2019-05-10 17:58:46 +0000 UTCOk so I've more or less gotten a hang of pateron and it's file processing capabilities, though I am not too crazy about having all these posts be completely separated from each other.
I think I kind of expected having just gallery folders where you can rearrange stuff and have things labeled instead of tags. I have a feeling a lot of the things get lost through them even though I label and separate them correctly.
In a way my biggest concern when I actually open the site for business and start uploading new pages of either BloodStain or Punderworld (which on average would be 2 comic pages a week) would be making a new post for each update.
It feels like a waste of space potential, not to mention could be tedious to click though new posts constantly. Then again, I see this all from a creator perspective so I can't really know how this looks for you.
One solution is to just keep updating one post which will be labeled as (episode/ nr/ title name) until that specific episode is complete, which I think is much better because it keeps all the relevant pages of that episode intact. (there is a button to alert patrons when new stuff is added, so I kinda like that idea)
Again, I don't know how other comic artists do it here, so I have no frame of reference.
What do you guys think? Are you getting lost browsing though here?
I was also thinking of creating a similar thing for random sketches, where I could just keep adding on more sketches over time in a single post.
you would get a really long vertical strip out of it of just pure nonsense XD
next...what do you think about a BloodStain Spoiler tag?
I have so many BloodStain future sketches that I'm itching to show... but I don't want to spoil it for people who don't want spoilers.
The reason I am mentioning BloodStain is because with Punderworld there is no need for a spoiler tag, given you generally already know what happens, so you kind of expect certain things, but BloodStain is it's own story that can really go in any direction XD
Phew.. that was a long post. Many thanks to those who stuck by to the end XD
Let me know what you think in the comments ^^
many thanks,
Linda.

Tagging spoilers would be good for those that need them, but as an avid fan of your work I check for new stuff daily and appreciate anything you are willing to post.

2019-08-19 18:21:06 +0000 UTCoh no that part's easy. you upload your stuff and have options to either be it for all patrons or for a select tier, Since I have only one tier that's where I put all my stuff.

2019-05-11 13:02:54 +0000 UTCI know Patreon at least used to have a developer API so you could have things off site and check if a user has access when they request it. So you may be able to just have a website with the comic on it, and have it check if the post is public, and if not, check if the user is logged into Patreon with an appropriate pledge. I dont know the complexity of implementing this though, its something I've meant to look into for a while, but I've had a backlog with development for my own business and keep getting distracted. If I get to looking into it soon I'll post back if there is anything useful I find that you can setup easily enough
