I agree with you, the cgi and practical effects are part of the series charm, and I giggle at it too when watching. It brings me joy! Also, I have to say that I think you are the only reactor I've watched that I didn't have to point out who Harriet Jones's actress is. Penelope Wilton should be a household name as she is the only woman I have ever seen give Dame Maggie Smith a run for her money on screen. I would like to point out that the female Slitheen is played by Annette Badland. You know her if you've seen the latest Midsomer Murders seasons, or if you've seen Ted Lasso.
