Everywhere Piengi goes, there's women staring at him, whispering things to each other about him. In a town where most cactus men have spiky beards and prickly attitudes, it's especially true. He's tall, he's a gentleman, he's got a foreign accent, and he's handsome, what's not to love? Now, Drosera isn't the typical town damsel, she's borderline feral if anything. But enough kindness can tame the wildest of beasts. He saved her life and refused to leave her side while she was unable to do so much as walk, even while Ignacio insisted on leaving her behind. She has every reason to have at least a little bit of a fondness toward Piengi.
And as a reminder, it's ok not to have a special someone for Valentine's Day. It's okay to not have any friends to hang out with too. Throughout your entire life, the one person who will always be there with you, is you! Be kind to yourself, because if nobody else has your back, at least you will.
