I would say that, though I am going to make a sequel next year for that story, at his core (because how he decided to go about things) - it was clear that his hatred for being casted out wasn’t something that should’ve led him to want to destroy and kill everyone and everything so that he can “reset existence”. The power dynamic was clear too (older and much stronger Angel brother slamming his younger siblings) - the Grand Priest wasnt wrong when he said that rules are rules and rules are meant to be followed and upheld, not broken and rest. I see your point though. I do miss him lol he was one of those psychos that was just a powerhouse

No, i hated Merno for most of the entire time until the end that i started seeing through his own eyes, i saw what his life was made out from his small innocent naive actions, and how everyone turned against him afraid to stand against his father, his own brothers whom they loved him and he loved them equally, he is basically Hearts from Heroes, Seen as the monster but hero to many as the only thing he wanted as the free humanity from the shackles of those who play with everyone's lives as if they're nothing, getting angry for not eating ice cream and erasing a planet with billions of innocent lives or a universe with quintillions of living beings.. At the end of Merno i was on his side, He really wanted to free everyone but his hatred inside of him got him lost and how he no longer cared to protect the weaker.. He born out of pure energy has no clue what it means to fall into deeps of hatred and greediness. Hopefully he returns and comes back with a mind capable to understand his mistakes towards the weaker beings and the timelines he destroyed just to gain power and knowledge...

pretty sure Merno’s character is similar to what Lucifer/Satan was in some of the religions. like an arch angel, so much stronger than all the other angels and wanted control over everything. heroic? hardly.. Merno was the ultimate villain.

For me Merno ending was actually the hero instead of the bad guy, for me the bad guy was Grand Priest.. Back then when i had access to youtube i kept writing that i wished Merno would survive as he had everything taken away from him.
