well you gotta remember goku was serverly injured and beaten damn near to death b4 he transformed so it's not like those injuries and damage magically went away. if I remember correctly it was stated that he'd be healed before anew match starts if a ko or ring out occurs meaning large zenkai incoming. not only that goku just hot this new power so he'll only get stronger the more he uses it similar to the situation with ui. in terms of your question well imo j don't think the 5th to the 3rd have such a massive difference in power compared to lets say tekira and the gp and yiu gotta remember that they are Yoshito and Akuma are shown to be unnecessarily arrogant which I believe will lead to thier downfall since they tend to over underestimate goku

Not sure if you can answer this bbut how close are the 4 of them together in strength? I feel like if budo is giving Goku this much trouble then it will be hard to sell him beating any more of them before achieving this new other power

I think that Goku controls the energy ball while they both are blasting at one another. Once the ball hits Budo and catches him off guard, Goku overpowers him and blasts him off the area.

so everyone is saying goku is trying to ring out budo by tricking him but what if the opposite happens and a ko happens via that energy ball in the sky. I feel like something. similar to the super perfect cell vs father son Kamehameha will happen where near the end the energy ball will be equivalent to vegeta distracting cell for long enough for goku to overpower the beam
