2026-01-06 11:53:46 +0000 UTCIt's not an anime, but if you haven't seen True Detective season 1 you should really consider giving it a watch. It's got all the things you two seem to like: it's dark, existential, has witty dialogue, an interesting mystery, good acting, and great characters.

2026-01-06 07:30:57 +0000 UTCThey would for sure like samurai champloo, pretty much anybody that likes cowboy bebop also likes samurai champloo. Jjk is also a good option but I feel like there are better options. I think something like code geass would be the better option.

You get a fun trio of characters and music plays a big role in the show, similar to Bebop. Definitely worth putting it into the poll. I think that it's just as good as Cowboy Bebop. Definitely a fun watch if you enjoyed Cowboy Bebop. Also would suggest JJK, but that may just outright win any poll, not that you have to go with the winner.

I would prefer to start with that anime in 2027. They will have to do it at one point because there is no way they will not react to it. Apotehcary Diaries would be a better fit later because we will get Season 3 Part 1 in October 2026 and Season 3 Part 2 in April 2027 and watching it right after Monster will make it hard to schedule the Long anime slot. Code Geass aged pourly in my opinion, but I think the bigger problem is that the story of fighting against a regime is too similar with Andor right now. Spy x Family is incredible episodic. We can react to it anytime and it's still far from finished. I don't think that we need to put it in the poll now even so they will love Anya. Still think they would enjoy Buddy Daddies (short anime, 12 eps) more. My Hero Academia, Naruto, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Ghost Files, Hajime no Ippo, Slam Dunk and Kingdom are way too long. We should watch more shorter Long Anime right now before we block the slot again for 2 years. Delicious in Dungeon would be awesome but the final Season 2 will finish in December 2026, so I think it should be in the next poll and not in this one, so it's a watch without a break. Demon Slayer is kinda similar to Jujutsu Kaisen. It will finish 2029. We should wait. Re:Zero gets Season 4 in 2026, so if we would start watching it right after Monster will force them to do a break like in Delicious in Dungeon, so maybe in the next poll. Personally not a fan of the show, but people want it. One Punch Man is dead. I think nobody wants them to watch it anymore.

Be prepared for long comments (1000+ words) from me on 66/67 and 74 :D I'm not sure if I should post on 66 if I talk about stuff that is happening in 67 too. Also, we talked on Discord about three months ago that 72 has incorrect subtitles, which were only fixed in the English translation of the Perfect Edition of the manga or on Netflix. It caused a major misunderstanding in the English-speaking community. Not because I like, fuck no lol it’s a pretty mid anime in my opinion but I’m pretty sure I made some promises to the JJK fans that if they vote for monster and Pluto, I would vote for this anime.. and I feel we wouldn’t had monster or Pluto without their votes in the grand poll battles.. so I will still keep my promise and vote for JJK if I see in the options.

2026-01-05 23:33:36 +0000 UTCI will be honest and since we have only have 12 episodes.. I might as well start pushing for this anime. I feel like Nana should be next. As someone who really thinks 99% of romance anime is corny and overdramatized .. Nana is the only exception to that rule. It’s the only romance anime that tackles romance in a realistic and mature way. Now like HunterxHunter .. it has an ending but the story is still incomplete in the manga since it’s in indefinite hiatus..but like HxH, it has an anime ending. I hope you girls consider this anime for the next poll.
