The Bear 4x10 Reaction

Comments

Three weeks late 'cause I just joined patreon, but you don't know how grateful I am that you continued to watch this show and that you loved it as much. I absolutely adored the reactions to this season, so thank you!!

Couldn't agree more. When Brie Larson (whom I love.... scott pilgrim! short term twelve! 😍) showed up I paused the ep and left the room. That character had 3 seasons of build up and could have been played by an up and coming actress and instantly propelled her into a known quantity, like Ayo, like Abby. Someone hilarious + perfect they could get back next year as much as they wanted. But they love that they can get huge world famous actors to come on their show so they take every opportunity. Olivia Coleman and Will Poulter's single episode cameos in S2 were perfectly cast and surprising, when they both came back in S3 and 4 I knew it was over. So many shows recently have disappointed because the creator/crew buy into their own hype. HOTD, TLOU, The Boys, Squid Game, Witcher, for me even Severance S2 was self-aware and self-aggrandizing to its detriment. More shows need to retain their underdog spirit, stay humble, partially ignore the audience and stop forgetting what made them iconic, great seasons of television in the first place.

Not a fan of this episode or these past two seasons. The show’s creator seems to be in love with his own writing. And each episode includes lines that no normal person would say. Half the characters have absurd quirks or names (e.g., Computer). The Faks are overly cartoonish. And their cartoonishness keeps increasing with every new Fak the show ads… Which brings me to another issue… the never ending cameos… i get it. The show became a critical darling after seasons 1 and 2, so major stars want to make an appearance, but John Cena and Brie Larson, are too famous to be playing Faks. All you can think of during their cameos is, that is John Cena and that is Brie Larson. It hurts the show. Just because u can get a famous name to play a small role doesn’t mean u should. I could go on and on. Season 1 was good. Season 2 was peak, but in retrospect, the show had nowhere to go once the new restaurant opened.

As much as I wish the last 2 seasons were on the level of the first 2 I think this show still has a lot of pretty special moments and I'm glad you guys still react to it. There are some of us out there!

These past 4 episodes reignited my love for this show even with all its faults

Yes, the notion that people were not into this has been notable and constant, and I can see the reasons why, but I still love these characters and their story, and its been great rewatching the season with the reactions after a 1-day binge wrecked me when it released aha Looking forward to this coming back next year 😁

“I think the people watching with us at this point are crying too.” Guilty as charged.

Also, big agree on this feeling like it would’ve worked as a series finale. I don’t think there are any major conflicts left. I’m hoping there’s still some momentum going into the next season

I was really excited for the reactions to this episode and episode 9 specifically because this is like the only time I’ve watched a show and thought "I might’ve cried as much as milena and lola will when they watch it." So, the comment about how "the people watching probably felt the same way" seems pretty accurate.

What an episode

I haven't really posted any comments about this season of The Bear cuz I didn't enjoy it and didn't want to spoil anyone's fun. I really liked the Sydney hair-do episode! I loved S1 and S2, I'd rate them like 9.5 and 10/10 each, I wish I enjoyed S3 and 4 more, I wish there were more eps that hit me as hard as Forks or Fishes. I'm glad it still resonates with a lot of people though! 💖

Worth mentioning that I would still want to see Adolescence get watched. It just won 5 Emmys and it’s only 4 episodes. Before or after Andor makes no difference, just don’t want it to be forgotten!

This info will get buried on the poll, so I'm putting it here so you can easily find it. Andor was released in "arcs" as follows: Season 1 Arc 1: 1x1, 1x2, 1x3 Arc 2: 1x4, 1x5, 1x6 Standalone: 1x7 Arc 3: 1x8, 1x9, 1x10 Arc 4 / finale: 1x11, 1x12 Season 2 (easy 3 episode arcs) Arc 1: 2x1, 2x2, 2x3 Arc 2: 2x4, 2x5, 2x6 Arc 3: 2x7, 2x8, 2x9 Arc 4: 2x10, 2x11, 2x12 Rogue One: 1 x full-length movie For season 1, Disney released the first 3 episodes at once then did weekly (but its still in arcs). For season 2, they released 3 episode arcs each week for 4 weeks, nice and easy. If possible the show will benefit from watching it in arcs but you can split it up, you may just end on an episode and desperately want to know what happens next 😂🥰 Andor is a prequel to Rogue One. While Rogue One released first, I think for the format of the channel (and youtube clickbait) you shouldn't watch it first. You will almost certainly want to watch it after though, so you have to schedule it like with El Camino or the Cowboy Bebop movie.

Loved season 4 episodes which setup season 5...!!!

Just wanted to mention: Andor just won 5 Emmys, including Best Writing for a Drama Series!
