Yeah that's how it was released and it's a nice adventure again after the story is over. I think chronological order is really over rated. Like you wouldn't recommend someone watches Pulp Fiction in chronological order, not the first time.

I like the reference to "comrade" at the beginning of the episode after episode 12 and 13 ended by asking if you have a comrade, turns out the crew does! Just in their own messed up emotionally damaged way. Second thing I love about the episode is all of Faye's facial reaction to things and all the grimaced annoyance she gives.

Yeah I'd say you don't have to watch the movie between the episodes. You can watch it after the series if you want. It's better that way too imo.

It's nice reliving the show through these reactions. Episodes like this that I'd basically forgotten but are still great to watch. I liked the point about kind of hating enjoying something knowing it's going to end. Especially when it's a shorter show like Bebop. But it's perfect how it is IMO.

We're back again to the usual CB episode style which don't seem plot heavy but reveal more of the world building. We now see what the cause of the gate explosion was all those years ago which is basically the backdrop event of this show. The reason Earth is the way it is and so much more

The movie is best watched after the show in my opinion, even though it takes place earlier chronologically in the series. You can feel, in the movie, that it is aware that it is released after the series.

There’s something about episodes ending with the song ‘Waltz for Zizi’ that I find very touching and memorable. This one and Ganymede Elegy have final scenes that fit perfectly with that track. One of my favourites from the soundtrack for sure.

This episode wasn’t about Spike though. Maybe you meant to post this on the last episode? Anyway, episodes about Spike are great because he’s the main character and his episodes tend to move the story along more. However, I’d argue that all the episodes about our four main characters history are great.
