Orb: On the Movements of the Earth is an anime. Terribly realistic and terrifyingly beautiful. A show with the depth of Vinland Saga and cliffhangers like Attack on Titan. It’s not something that’s fresh. It’s brutally human and risks the chance of hurting you in a quiet way. The weight of it will feel much more significant than I can describe, and tears don’t do it justice. It’s like accepting a tragedy that has already happened and has yet to occur. A feeling that the world makes sense even during the contradictions. I normally cry out for JJK, but my heart solely seeks the simple desire of sharing this story with you. Orb: On the Movements of the Earth.

Man rewatching this again has me wanting y'all to see other shows from the era like Wolf's Rain, Baccano! and Black Lagoon. Also, Ein is pronounced like Einstein, his namesake haha.

I imagine Spike is into taoism as well, which Bruce Lee heavily drew from. Once I'm done studying imma add to this post a little info on taoism that I know and how I think it influences Spike's outlook on life

2025-03-02 02:45:34 +0000 UTCTo clarify about the plants, they are used to convert the toxic gases of the planet into breathable air. So the plants are actually purifying the air. Why they would use plants that are also toxic to do that is not explained. Considering the sister says the plants are only on Venus, either Venus is too poor to get better plants or its was the only plant that could survive on Venus.

I actually strongly think the animators of creators took inspiration from Spike because all animators of that generation knew Cowboy Bebop. Also, watching your expression change in a split minute was truly why I subscribe to this channel. Idk what that says about me lmao. Roco makes me sad too. Also, shoutout to the show for the gay representation.
